Valentin Geier

Valentin Geier

Valentin Geier is a doctoral student at the Conflict Management and International Relations group at ETH Zurich since December 2023. He holds an M.A. in Politics and Public Administration from University of Konstanz and an M.A. in International Security from the Barcelona Institute of International Studies. Previously, he earned a B.A. in Politics and Public Administration from University of Konstanz. In his research, he investigates the impact of climate and environmental factors on peacebuilding in non-state conflicts. His further interests include mixed methods approaches, micro-level data, and geo-spatial analysis. Throughout the past years, Valentin has been a research assistant at the University of Konstanz, working on topics related to contentious politics and international development. He has also interned with the German Federal Foreign Office and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
